Is it bow tie-rs, or bow tiers? Or the ones who tie bows...??

Nevertheless, I would love some tips on achieving the perfect bow... one that's even and sits properly.

Any tips?

Never tied one Ames, but it looks great in Pretty Woman when Julia does Richard's tie for him. Just love that movie!

I turned to the wonder that is youtube and found this video by Kristina Werner. I'm going to need some practice!

There are two ways I make bows

1. Tie the bow and then fluff around with it until it sits pretty (sometimes using a glue dot can help it sit straight on your project).

2. Construct one - I cut a length of ribbon to the size I want my bow and then I bring the two ends together and overlap and use a glue dot to stick them together. Then I cut a small piece of the ribbon and wrap around the middle and secure at the back with a glue dot. Then I cut another piece of the same ribbon for my tail - I fold it over to make like a "V" and cut the ends in either a v or on a slant and then I attach that to the back of my bow with the tails hanging down - see my "70" and "Christmas Combination" cards as examples.

Thanks for this Amy. I will definitely be having a look as I have tried on numerous occasions to make bows but give it up has a bad joke.
